I'm looking for a safe moving company in my area but I'm not having any luck. Located in SW part of the state near the state line, about 40 minutes from the Kzoo area. Anyone know of any companies somewhat close?

I would call On Target in Kalamazoo and see if they know some in the business of moving safes.

On target will only move thier own product. I can buy $4000 worth of product from them over the last couple years, but they can't help me out? It's surprising how hard it is trying to find someone willing to move this thing. One safe and Vault company told me, "we don't do stairs." Hard to believe when almost every house in MI has a basement. Found a local moving company willing to do it that has done them before. Nice enough guy, family owned company. He told me it would probably cost between $300-$400. Expensive, but cheaper than a funeral.

A moving company or a rigging company will be you best option. Last resort you could give http://www.hoogerhydesafe.com/ a call they are in Grand Rapids sow the service call will be a killer.

Every place I called wanted a ridiculous amount to get mine to my 2nd floor office. Most wanted 350 or more just to place it on the first floor. Double or triple to get it upstairs. They didn't have a definite amounts but rather, ball park figures and they wanted a straight shot up the steps. And my safe is about half the size of yours. In the end after calling all around I figured a way to do it myself. Scratch that self part. The wife helped. She's a real amazon...

Most of the places I called recommended just getting a bunch of friends to help. I used towing straps, rugs to slide it on and a come-along to get the job done.

The safe is at it's final resting place in my basement. I ended up finding a moving company willing to do it. From the pickup location to when they pulled out of my driveway took a little over two hours. Cost $360, but they did a good job and my wife doesn't have to buy a tacticool casket.
