What are the shows like there?  I have been told that it's a small show.

Sometimes they are small, sometimes they get big. It depends  on the season other shows that weekend or even in this state for that matter. To some it might be the same old same old but a brick and mortar store will have the same things in it every day as well. NTAC holsters does the Mt. Clemens show every month. there are a couple of larger dealers that do pretty good and have a great selection there also. the smaller dealers have a good selection of AR parts and upgrades {Centennial} and ammo is there also. It depends on what your looking for. If you want to spend the day window shopping and looking at stuff all day at the show then no it's not great but if your looking for specifics then it does not matter how big the show is as long as a dealer has what you need when you need it.

To me, it's worth going to. My son (11) and I normally go there on Fridays to avoid the entry fee. If nothing else we just go and check stuff out, but I normally find a few things I can use. The way I see it, even if I don't find anything worth buying the boy and I walked around looking at guns for a hour or so.

I can usually find some powder and/or primers, surplus ammo, Kurt (Centennial) generally has pmags for a good price as well as a good selection of small AR parts and other magpul stuff.

well I can tell you that the Taylor show this past weekend outright sucked. only half of the "show" area was filled, and only about 60% of those tables were selling firearms. Gibraltar is seriously becoming a waste of time. good thing Top Gun was about a half mile down the road and was able to redeem my disappointing day at Gibraltar

Taylor show was definitely pretty bad this weekend. I only redeeming factor was that I was picking up old USMC gas cans from up the road for only $8 a pop.
