One of my daughters and I used to make a Birch Run run - she'd go to the outlet mall and I'd go to the gun show. Schedules changed so we can't do that any more. With gasoline at almost $3 a gallon, it's just not worth the drive for me (from the downriver area).

There's a gun show and its Octoberfest weekend
I spent a good 5 hours yesterday wandering around the show! I managed to sell the CZ almost immediately and there was lots to look at –– always more fun with some money in one's pocket.  I bought an M1 carbine oiler for a friend and a u-fix-em Savage/Springfield 20ga 5100 –– actually "Ward's" marked, but the same gun. Not sure what all it's missing yet, and the bore needs polishing, but for $75 OTD I can take a chance on it since the stock is sound and the metal is not pitted. For some reason these department store side by sides speak to me.
