Trijicon ACOG
I never watch NBC but I saw this on the FOX news webpage. Did anybody see the story? |
Yup. Much ado about nothing. What surprises me is that there are people in this community (ARF.com) who didn't know about the bible verses. I thought it was common knowledge, and have known about it for years. My first ACOG scope was bought probably around '98, and it had a verse on it. The media is acting like Trij started putting the verses on there just to piss of the jihadis.

| I can say as an Army guy who got issued one and owner of one I bought they work awesome and I don't care how they do the s/n. I thought the quotes I saw about Jesus/God bringing light was pretty appropriate considering how they work. As a disclaimer, I am not a religious guy. |
| I never knew about this, but now that I do I'm even more pleased with Trijicon. (I didn't even know they were a MI based company, show's how much attention I pay!). One of the things that NCO's in Iraq would always say is, "Who knows if Allah is really on their side, but how many of you pray over your weapon systems before going into battle?" This was usually in reference to captured videos showing insurgents praying as they loaded mortar tubes. We're fighting a fierce, devoted enemy, so whether or not you believe in the Christian God, I'm glad someone's at least praying for my optics! |

The fact that the Ft. Hood shooter shouted Allahu Akbahr before killing a bunch of soldiers didn't make as much press as this stupid Trijicon/Bible verse thing. ![]() It sure didn't. You ever notice how no one remembers the names of the D.C. shooters or the Virginia Tech shooter? All anyone heard about was how evil sniper rifles were responsible, and how that gun store owner should go to prison for selling someone 5 handguns, because owning 5 guns is way too many and blah blah blah. Very little is mentioned about an Islamic agenda, or a mental illness; now the whole country KNOWS that if those guns had been banned, those killings never would have taken place. Hell, why don't they just ban murder while they're at it? |

Maybe that's why they call them "crosshairs"? Be kind of difficult to get a good sight picture through a crescent-shaped reticle.

That is so lame... Seriously, i wouldnt give two shits. I like my Nagant because it has the hammer and sickle. If an instrument i am purchasing from a company works superbly well, and i have no issues or compaints with it, i dont care if you put a pentagram with a burning american flag on it.
Big Deal. I know my rights, i know what i stand for, and i know my beliefs, owning something regardless of its make of origin, will not sway my beliefs nor will it make others think differently of me. People now a days need to remove the far fledged splittered stick from their rear's and understand that it just isnt worth the battle. To see a privately owned michigan company have to go through more shit because of these jerks is upsetting. Its nice to see that they at least have a level head. They offer to remove it, and co-operate after enough people push them around.... |
