What with hindsight being 20/20, I keep kicking myself for buying my house when I did. I love the place, but I bought at the height of the market... With the large downpayment we put on it we are only just now getting close to being underwater on it. *sigh* oh well. Sharpen your fallback plans and figure out what else you can legally do for money. I encourage everyone to do this, actually... See if there's a way to make money doing something you do on the side, or a hobby you can make money at... |

I lost my job of 8 years in March and it took me 5 weeks to get into another. I know I was blessed and am thankful. My wife makes enough for us to survive on just her salary and we had zero credit card or high interest debt. I basically worked on finding a job all morning long and played video games, interviewed, posted here, and took calls in the afternoons. Jobs are out there, you just have to remember that there are 10 other people fighting you for them.
