| I just got home from a fundraiser for John Cruz. He's running for School Board in Mt. Clemens. He supports the teacher's right to carry (not his platform mind you, probably won't be in campaign leaflets). I'm a believer that Columbine could not happen if this was the norm. Is there any support for this guy in Macomb? |

I am not familiar with him or his positions and I have not heard of him. I'm only a few miles from Mt. Clemens so I should know him but I don't. As for support - I like the gun position but I'm sure the Mt. Clemens School Board would frown on the issue. Popular support among the electorate - no way to know unless he's won an election or held an office.
How many people were at his fundraiser and how much money was raised might determine his ability to communicate with his audience. School elections are usually locked up by the insiders holding the seats and their popularity by the school election voter often communicated to on a daily basis by fliers brought home by their children. So if he's not part of the IN CROWD of the very few voters that always show up to those school elections to vote for millage increases on an off month election cycle then it might be an uphill fight. Then again - sometimes very few or nobody runs for these positions so he could get lucky! |
