I'm considering the purchase of a saiga 12, and the installation of an ACE folding stock,  does anybody know if the "folded OAL" will cause any legal concerns?

My guess would be its fine as it has a 20" barrel, plus AK type receiver which are pretty long, plus about an inch for the folding mech. They may have to be registered as a pistol. But give Tromix a call. They make a ton of those. Also, there are import law probelms with changing parts. You need a certin number of parts converted to US if I remeber correctly to put on a folder. Check out Tromix web site.

Try this one too. Alot of info and some on the 922r legal stuff.

i got mine from a ACE hardware in Grand Rapids... i dont remembe the stores real name  but  ran a FFL outta the basement.... now i need to get pistol grip / folding stock conversion done but when you do this 922 becomes impoartant and you can only have 10 imported parts so replace the FCG with US made and some other items...

let me see if i can find the guys info who does the conversion and duracoats them and ill get it posted

i also need do stock up on 10rd mags and maybe get a drum or two for my saiga

can also check out saiga12.com to see whats availible....
