Anyone have the link for the group that addresses department requiring fees for permits. My understanding is that the permit is free but the notary can be charged for. Thanks Joe |

SAFR has been spearheading the effort to get the departments acting like spoiled children back in line with the law. http://www.firearmsalliance.org/ Greg (gsbell on glocktalk.com and migunowners.org) is the one I've seen taking info. Yes, you're right, purchase permits cannot be charged for, and they can charge you up to $10 to use their notary, but you don't have to use their notary. Most banks have a notary for the use of their customers. |
