Don't know how many of you are familiar with the Slip 2000 product line, but this stuff works! I don't have any way to show you how well their lube works, but it is the best lube I've found to date. I can show you how well their "CARBON KILLER" works. I used it on the cylinder face of a S&W 642 with the before and after picks below. Photos 3 & 4 show the area around the barrel/frame of a S&W 686 and photos 5 & 6 show an AR bolt before and after. The carbon fouled areas were wet with the product and allowed to sit for 10-15 minutes. The AR bolt was placed in a small vial and soaked for the same amount of time. All areas were then brushed with a nylon AP brush and wiped off. I also works great as a bore cleaner. On a rifle barrel I will generally wet the bore with Carbon Killer and let it sit for 10-15 minutes, then I run a dry patch and hit it with Wipe out. Let that sit for an hour or so and then run a few dry patches. The combo of Carbon Killer and Wipe Out eliminates all traces of carbon and copper for a pristine bore. I haven't found anything that will remove the burn rings on a stainless cylinder the way Carbon Killer does it.

| Affirm. I bought the Slip starter kit a couple years ago and the carbon cutter is great for that task. I soak the bolt carrier in the jar too and it speeds cleanup there as well. Leave it in long enough (significantly longer than 15min) and it will lighten up the park but it's a cosmetic change only. |
