OK so I bought a Yugo Underfolder AK this morning. I had to get a pistol purchase permit to buy the gun because it is less than 26" when folded. I take the gun back to the Wyandotte Police Department for its "Safety Inspection" and the woman behind the counter is filling in all of the info. on the computer and she asks me what Caliber it is, I say 7.62x39 she says that is not an option because the numbers dont fit in the box on the computer. After much debate o her wanting to put in .308 and me saying no thats not the caliber she says well I will have to call the state and give you a call back when to come in and get it fixed. AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! Who has a AK pistol or Underfolder and what is in the caliber box on your green card? Please help me!! Tim |

I just got a call from the Police Department called Deb Smith at the MSP and they say they can take the " . " out of 7.62 to make it fit in their little box. You gotta be kidding me right this whole thing started because of a decimal. I understand not all departments have had to deal with every gun situation but come on. Anyway I want to send a huge +1 to Lisa at the Wyandotte Records Bureau she is very helpful and always pleasant. Thanks for the help from everyone here too you guys are great!! |
