Anyone going to the Birch Run gun show this weekend?

I'm planning on going there on Sunday.

Is the expo center close to the outlet malls?  Never been to the show before.

I'll be there on Sunday.  Looking to buy at least one complete upper to wrap up my latest project.

I'll be there saturday morning with either my "Infidel" sweatshirt, or my "defeat Hillary for the common good" T-shirt.

I'm looking for either an AR pistol upper or a Compact 1911 (either for a gift to my brother for his help in building my house) And I'll be looking for either a FAL or Galil receiver (good luck on those) But if I can't find either of those, I'll be looking for a Pistol AR lower.

I be there late mourning/early afternoon.  I will be looking for either a varmint/predator upper or a 308 bolt rifle.  Also a couple of buddys looking for complete AR's.  Anybody interested in a Leupold scope?

What kind of Leupold do you have?  I might also be able to help on the complete AR side.  Drop me an email and we can talk further.

Does any one there have Stag Leftys?  I am curious to touch one and see how it feels to start with.

The last time I had a chance to handle one was last fall at the Indy show.  I'm also a lefty and thought about it for a while, but decided against it.  I don't remeber ever seeing them around here, but I could be wrong.

Good luck!

I have the Stag model 2L in stock as well as a couple of right hand models.
I also shoot a 2L.
I resisted buying a left handed AR for a while, but now I wish I had grabbed one sooner.
It's nice to shoot without all the crap building up on my glasses and you breath a lot less burned powder.
The best part is that they work! QC is extremely high.
I won't be at Birch Run this time, but you're welcome to stop in to my shop to fondle that carbine.

I'll be there, not sure when though.  I live close by so I like to go and look even if I don't have a bunch to spend.

Thanks, AnotherLefty

I get one weekend off a month.  I will catch my brother and take a ride down there.

Saturday mornings are always the best day to catch a good buy or two. Weather is supposed to suck tommorow so the 1 1/2 hr drive might be a factor even with a 4X4.

Isn't the Shot Show going on this weekend?  Might be a tough weekend to find some of the regular dealers.

Here is what I got today:

The lower is from Sheridan Arms and the rest was from Ranger (Model 1) sales. Everything (minus scope and mag) was $650. Not too bad if you ask me. Now throw a stock and a forward grip on it and we'll have a sweet little gun. Too bad we can't do that in MI. Stupid SBR laws.

How was the show?  Were all the normal vendors there?

It wasn't bad, but it was very busy. Most of the normal vendors was there except for Tony's custom (or something like that. The guy that sells the nice AR stuff) It's always worth the trip.

If you ask me it was one of the worst Birch Run shows I've been to.  Ammunition Store had very little ammo, Another Lefty wasn't there, Operation Parts wasn't there, it was busy as hell, and there were no good deals (at least that I saw)!

Went tody and have it say it was the busyist I've ever seen it.  Didnt buy to much stuff, trying to save for a pistol.  $40 in S&W knives and a $20 AR grip.  Was a normal BR show though.

BR is the best stop on the michigan gun show list.... correct me if im wrong... id like to check out gibaltar but havent yet.... always alot of tables... and if u look hard enough u can always work with people and get a deal..  some of the dealers are stiff on their prices but some will work with ya... i picked up that same Rock River lower pictured above just deciding on how i wanna finish it....

are 4 rail forearms legal on a pistol??? want to put a laser, holographic sight, and a bipodon my pistol...

what about a bipod??? or is that considered another form of a grip....

i seen a guy with a strap on one of those bushmaster pistol's forearm seemed to me to be the same as a forward grip just not shure how legal that is either...

I just got back from the Birch Run Show.  In the past it's been a decent show, but this one was CRAP.  There were far too many tables covered with flea market junk.  I'm hoping that this was do to the fact that Indy was having a show this weekend and that the Shot Show was going on in Florida.

As usual some of the dealers could be heard complaining that no one was buying their merchandise, but it's hard to pay them what they want when you can get it on the net for less than they are charging.  Before anyone starts to chime in about shipping, stop and ask yourself what you pay in gas and admission costs.

Going to the Michigan gun show is kinda like going to a Lions game.  As soon as you walk in you start to ask yourself why you came in the first place.

Some were good and some were laughably high.

There was not a whole lot of ammo to be found.  I saw some .308 SA battle packs for $50 each and some 7.62x39 at a fair price, but I didn't see much .223, 45acp or 9mm.
