Looking for a gunsmith to install an optics rail on a Vector AK. I'm in the Mishawaka area, so NW, North Central, or Southwest MI would work. Prefer someone who actually has worked on AKs before. Anybody know of anyone in the area that would do????

Edited: found one; Firing Pin in Niles. Dropped the AK off this afternoon.

Randall Elsworth in Watervliet.

He's a Class II 'Smith and is framilliar with AK mods.

I'll try to dig up his # and addy when I get home for ya.

Should only be about 45-Min. to an hour drive, and there is a range 2 Miles from Randy's place.

Dammit, I was just in the metro Detroit area today on business (GM Tech Center in Warren).

Watervliet is a definite possibility, and it's 30 to 45 minutes away. If you can get me a phone number I'll check him out.

Just as well. I called Randy tonight as I havn't heard from him in a couple years.

He is no longer doing the 'Smith gig as his last renewal was 1700 bucks, and he had enough of the Garbage dealing with all of the hoops and hurdles.

The Firing Pin does good work.

They should make ya happy!
