My co-wokers and I were just sitting around work discussing politics and thought of this.

If the election goes the way of the Republicans (which I hope), the names of the main powers in MI/National politics will be Dick, Cox, and Bush.  What a country!

The best was in '02. when it was Cox VS. Peters. Great jokes.

I chose Cox over peters.

Public schools have become liberal indoctrination centers. Change is good. Your objection sounds completely self-serving.

Yeah, nothing like holding public skools accountable like Flint and Detroit and a plethora of others.

The only way public schools are going to wake up is to allow monies [NOT the Govts, BTW, it's our's as taxpayers] for education to be spent by parents where they want to spend them. Public education is already a Ponzai scheme and it'll get much worse in the next 10 years. There is no way in hell that we as taxpayers can fund and pay for the benefits and retirement that public school teachers think they deserve.

My kid has some great public school teachers, and some of them were pure POS that were worthless as educators and were more interested in spouting their personal opinions [which were always leftist BTW] then in making the material interesting. I can't even imagine the idiots that teach in the Detroit area, every one I've ever heard speak reminds me of a poorly taught 6th grader mentally speaking.

Public school teachers in Mi are VERY well paid, have excellent benefits, and a very good retirement. Now we, as taxpayers, need to be allowed to determine whether or not we think they are worth it. Kids don't count only on "count" day.
