Reading another thread , I wondered if many others have had the opportunity to enjoy Pizza Papalis' great pie.  The last time we were there, we sat upstairs.  The atmosphere was great and the help was friendly and prompt.  Great food and halfway decent prices for Greek Town.

You what I cant stand about pizza here in Michigan? I think it all sucks! Being from orig from Yonkers and the Bronx, the only good pie is a nice thin crust (not crispy), with a thin layer of greese in the middle that you drain onto wax paper before you eat. I tried the stuff at Pizza Papalis, and it is nothing more than a big fat peice of bread with all 4 food groups piled on it...But to each his own. It is a far cry from the days of Chinese slaves smearing tomato's on warm flat bread, eh?

Another rant:

Buddy's Sucks! I dont know who votes them in as good pizza, but it is terrible! When I order Anchovies, I dont want 3 peices of fish that spans 6 peices. I want at least two fishy's on each slice!

Tomatoes A'Pizza in F-Hills puts out a decent pie.

Pasquales on Woodard around 13-14mi is very good, but my favorite is Alibi on 19 & Rochester.

I'm also a big fan of Papalis.

WORD!
That's one of my crew's hangout spots(It's right in our vicinity). Good place to
take chicks to.
The pie is pretty good, if you can actually taste it after all the liquor
one has ingested. We're usually pretty drunk by the time we pile in to the time
we leave and always have to insist that the waitress "OoooooooPahhhhhhh's" with a bit
more finesse.

BTW-they make great Long Island Iced Teas,
but first you have to complain that your drink is weak
and the waitress will come back with what you reallllly
paid for!

Speaking of eating late.  I went to a decent Mexican restaurant in the wee hours after the bars closed down.  It was in Detroit.  The two times I went there, it was packed.  I can't remember the name of that damn place though.  I'll have to ask my brother where exactly it was and what it's called.  I'll update later unless someone knows what I'm talking about.  Damn good food though.

I believe it was not on US 12 (aka Michigan Ave) but near GT.  I haven't heard back from my brother yet.

There's also one in Rochester Hills, and I think in Farmington Hills as well.

Good Pizza.
