Is there a website I can download a CCW study test for MI? The gun store here seize you must hit 7 shots in a 7inch circle at 7yds but you will need 100rds for the test are they saying you need 7 out of 100 rounds to pass the test? Just don’t seam right

I'm not sure if there is a standarized test for CCW.   In my class they wanted 10 shots on an 8 1/2 x 11 paper at 21 feet (7 yards) slowfire.  The rest of the shooting was for expirience in shooting (weak hand, strong hand, around barriers, double taps, etc.).  The instructor of my class said it was not her job to fail people, but rather the assist them in getting their CCW.  My class had a remedial shoot for people who did not make the grade the first time.  Everyone passed by the end of the day.

Talk to your instuctor before the class. If they sound like a DI you may wish to choose a more friendly class.

BTW, My class was at Tri-county Sportsmans League near Saline.  I recomend the instructor there to others.

there is a written test to take, and you just need to show that you are competent with your firearm, no points scoring on your shooting

Oh yeah, I forgot the written test.  Apparently, it was too easy.  I had to think for a moment if I had even taken a written test.

The best part of my class was the police officer that came to teach the legal portion.  He went beyond the teaching the legal portion and ran us though scenarios we play acted out with blue guns.  He purposefully set up the scenarios to trick us and illustate how you can be "stung" legally and how things you think are happening may not be what they seem.  A real eye opener...

Like the others have stated, the written test is common sense, and I don't think you have to have a pass /fail shooting test, just shoot x amount of live ammo.  Most places/instructors put in a shooting test just to ensure everyone is somewhat competent with their pistol.

Written test? There wasn't one in the class I took, just the shooting portion after the classroom intstruction.
