Any one here ice fish? I have not fished in 10 years but this year I got the itch. I have all the equipment so I went out. Last weekend I went out on sunday to Coldbrook Park in Kalamazoo county and got nothing but cold. Phoned a friend and then went to Mud lake in southern Kalamazoo county got 4 thru 2 back. This weekend on sat I went to Shermin Lake in northern Kalamazoo county. I limited out after 3 hours (25 fish). Weather was warm at first untill the sun went down (22 degrees). On sunday I went back out on sherman lake and limited out again after 3 hours. But this time it was very cold (9 degrees). All this I dont even eat fish. But I have a friend that will take all the fish I can catch. Bobwrench p.s. I am cross posting this to survival/hometown.michigan forums |

oh my god. haven't thought about ice fishing in a while. i grew up in bay city and pinconning, so ice fishing was more of a religion than a sport. remember one of the best spots was on the saginaw river north of the Z bridge, at a curve in the river off of Bay City rd..... (waxing nostalgic)[>(] |
