| Is the new AR rage open? Taking the wife shooting tomorrow |

I cant answer your question, but I have a comment. I was at ORSA a couple weeks back for a Tennessee 3 Gun Series match. We only shot in the action pistol area, but that is a nice range. They treated us very well and put a nice match together. The AP range is restricted to matches or practice by pistol club members, not the general membership. Which is probably a good thing, given the condition I've seen the plinking range left in. |

Wait, so does that mean I could go up and practice on stuff like texas stars and plate racks that I don't have at home? |

I DO know you have to be a member of one of their pistol clubs before they let you back into that part of ORSA. |

But, you have to use USPSA or IDPA targets, and ONLY those targets. There is no plinking of any kind allowed here. If you want to use poppers, or star racks, or pendulums, barrels to be used as cover, or their frames for the USPSA/IDPA targets, then you have to be a member of SASS or IDPA or USPSA or 3-gun clubs...all you have to do is shoot in a match, and you can get a key to the sheds. |

Well I shoot USPSA there every month so maybe I'll go practice sometimes. On match days, they have the pin to the gate taped on it--does that stay there all month, or do I need to get someone to let me in? |
