Hey yall.  My wife is heading down there before too much longer for a bachelorette party.  They are looking at this place but I am trying to figure out the area.  It appears to be nice but Memphis had me jaded.  One area can be nice but 3 blocks over you wouldn't be caught dead without your AR, or you would be dead...

So yea, anyone from nashville chime in on the area of this place please?

After dark?  I don't know, since I can't recall having been in that area after dark in that last decade or so, but I doubt it would be too bad after dark.

During the day?  I wouldn't be concerned about the area, unless it's taken a nose dive in the last few years and I missed the memo.

ETA:  Just be careful if you go a few blocks north, to the other side of Charlotte Ave.

ETA:  On second thought, probably best for her to just  stay away from the other side of Charlotte Ave, especially after dark.

Not a bad area, though probably about a 15 dollar or so cab ride to get down to the bars and honky-tonks on Broadway.  I think I was actually at a wine tasting in that unit years ago when the building was still being finished.

Centennial park is full of crackmonsters and gay prostitutes after dark. Good place to get robbed. I have a friend with metro pd that works that area. Stay on the Vandy side and you will be ok.

spend the $ and stay at the Lowes Vanderbilt, nice hotel, 5 minute cab ride to downtown, and the property is nice and safe......

If they are going to be partying downtown along Broadway then I would spend the bucks and stay at the Hilton.

The Hampton Inn is just down the street from the Hilton, and is plenty nice and less expensive.
