So I just got an eotech and realized after playing with it in the house that the reticule Is fuzzy as hell. Anyone got onethat would know if there is a way to clean it up a bit?

Try looking at something farther away. I think focusing on the reticle makes it fuzzy, but sort of looking past it seems to help a lot.

Also, dial the power back a bit to cut down on the corona effect. The reticle is emitted, not cut in the glass or wire formed or what have you, so it is a bit "live".

Like home dog said, look through it at your target, not at it.

You could move it further away from you on the weapon. Also both eyes open, should make it look like a lazer dot on the target.

+1 to all of the above

You will probably find more info under ar15 and optics section but I believe an astigmatism may help to cause this problem.

This is partially the case- I have astigmatism but can still use Eotechs easily.

Trust me, dialing the power back will help. The reticle is comprised of, for lack of a better word, pixels, so it can looks "grainy" if you focus on it or it is too prevalent in your field of vision. Couple that with the fact that it is emitted onto the glass and you can get a corona effect pretty easily, especially at the higher intensity settings.

That said, some people simply cannot use them.

I've had 2  Eotech 512s and could never get used to the fuzziness.  As mentioned by others, there are several things you can do to reduce it.  But I could never get past it and finally gave up.  I'm sure my problem was mostly my poor vision.  I also have a problem with my Aimpoints.  The red dot never looks like a dot.  It looks more like a little spider with legs.  But I've learned to adjust to it, and kept the Aimpoints.  I wish the EoTech reticle was a bit more defined, but that's the nature of a holographic sight.  They definitely do look better outside in daylight though.

I was going to mention the astigmatism thing, but someone already did.  I have an astigmatism and wear contacts, but only have a fuzzy issue when it is full power inside.  Outside it seems to be better, but is never crystal clear.

+1 to the first 3 replies.

Focus on objects further away. Dont focus on the reticle.
Reduce power
Move it further away from eyes

I have a Holosight on one of my ARs, and noticed this effect. I mounted it on the rifle where I wanted it to be and turned  the power down a bit. Kept both eyes open and on target. Made a world of difference.
