don't know if it is kids or what but there have been several thefts in the north end of spring hill.
i had my bear archery compound bow, night vision, and a pair of simmons binos with the crooked creek outfitters strap system on them stolen out of my truck. basically all of my bow hunting gear. we've talked to several people in our neighborhood and the one next to it and a lot of things are missing. they even stole out a franklin PD cruiser. |

When I lived in Alabama we had a group that made a lot of money stealing out of cars. Basically they would hit six different areas, all about 20 miles apart. Each week they would hit one of the six areas. Their MO would be to walk through the neighborhood and just check for unlocked cars, never using force to enter. By the time they made it around to the first area the residents had became complacent again leaving their cars open as well as LE no longer actively investigating.
They never took anything that could be traced, no credit cards, checks, stereos or anything that was serialized. Mostly cash from wallets and purses left in the cars, loose change and music CD's. They did this for well over six months before found the pattern. We called surrounding jurisdictions inquiring if they had had thefts recently and everything kind of fell together. They eventually were caught by another jurisdiction. Dolomite |
