I met this young lady tonight. She's struggling to maintain her composure, as one can imagine. Her hubby was shot & killed by a stalker who was after her, so her guilt is probably compounding her grief, IMO.
She & hubby had NO life insurance & she didn't know this until the day after he died..................

(Nashville, TN) – The friends and family of slain karaoke host Ben Goeser are planning a Nashville concert to benefit the victim’s wife. The ‘BEN-efit’ is scheduled to take place later this month at the Limelight nightclub in Nashville.
Proceeds from the event will go directly to Goeser’s widow, Nikki Goeser. Nikki Goeser learned the couple had no life insurance the day after he was killed. Last week, 49-year-old Ben Goeser was shot to death at a Nashville sports bar on Nolensville Road. The Goesers setup camp at the bar, ready for a night of fun, as they had done every Thursday night since landing the gig earlier this year. Ben Goeser was shot to death later in the evening. The ‘BEN-efit,’ is open to the public and will be held on April 23 at 6:00PM at Limelight on Woodland Street across from LP Field. Donations will be accepted at the door. |

Out of curiosity... why did she not know if they had life insurance or not? I mean, im not the marriage sort, has no religious or tax sway for me as life stands, but wouldnt that be the sort of thing two "long term" committed partners discuss? Was it that it had lapsed or the like, or just that they had never gotten any?
Not trying to stir things up here, its a tragedy and my condolences to her, but I am just kinda curious as to the circumstances is all. The way that its being phrased is as if she was kept out of the loop or something. -E |

They did catch the asshole... bar patrons held him down until Metro showed up, but only after he emptied a magazine of 45 from his 1911 into the deceased. Fucking coward couldn't even man up and fight the guy, instead he shot him, what a low life fuck! This guy, Ben, was just trying to earn a living... he was there working not boozing it up, and this prick who is obviously off in the head shoots him. I have no more words |
