Think it will be worth the drive to Smyrna, or is the pre-inauguration going to drive anything that's "black and deadly" thru the roof? (more than it already has)

I went to an RK show in Jackson Ms, back in the spring last year. It was more of a flea market junk show than guns. Maybe they've changed, but I don't think I will waste gas to find out.

I'm not "foing" either, lol.  Yes, I have fat fingers too, sometimes.  But seriously, I'm allowed one show a month so say's my boss  I asked if she wanted to go on a date to the gun show  She said no, and then said put your scrawny arms down

RK shows are junk shows and Rex (the promoter) is a prick...yes that's right!  This summer I went to one of his shows in Nashville and there were hardly any tables and more than 50% were selling crap not firearms.  I was only there 20 minutes.  I let him know how disappointed I was and that I felt his advertisement of so many hundred tables was misleading and that I felt I had wasted my $10 entry fee and gas to get there.  I was very polite and expected him to apologize and offer a refund in the hope I would come to a future show but he proceeded to let me have it and he just turned away and walked off...what a freakin' douche bag.

It's a mix of stuff.  Some flea market stuff, but mainly guns and gun related.  Had to turn down an offer of a free sample of jerky, but I didn't see any beanie babies and there was less airsoft than I've seen in the past.

I didn't have a lot to spend, so I was only looking for a few specific things.  I ended up leaving without buying anything, but if I had had a few hundred more with me, I probably would have left with another evil rifle.

I went today on a lark, just to get sticker shock. Boy-howdee, did I!

AR's for $1300!

AK's for $799!

I didn't bother pricing ammo., nor was GA Arms there.

HUGE crowd, hardly room to turn around. I didn't see a lot of 4473's getting filled out either. I did find a decent pistol rug for a scoped .22 handgun for $20 & picked up some rosewood grips for my 617 S&W.

There was a woman there selling Egyptian cotton sheets. WTF was up with that?

I saw M-1 carbines priced from about $400 to around $1000.  Ammo prices also varied, since there were several dealers with ammo, but they all seemed to be having the same problem with getting a good selection.

I don't know if it's something about the location, or what, but when the Pope show was in that building, there were some dealers with stuff that made you wonder what they were thinking when they rented a table at a gunshow.  There was one dealer that sold native animal carvings from africa, and that was not the only dealer that looked like they would be more at home in some sort of interior decorating show.

I did see a table with very worn out AR 15 mags for $15 a piece. What a great deal. LOL. It took to long to get in and there weren't many good deals.

Just wanted you all to know how much I appreciate these AARs on the local shows.  Shows me I didn't really miss anything by not going.
