17 to 14, GA.

Obviously I hope it isn't true, but I'm still not convinced Ainge is ready for prime time. Nor does UT have an o-line worthy of the name.

I disagree, I do think he is ready.  But, it is a big SEC east game, therefore, anything can happen.

I do agree that the o-line not only has "question marks" it has "exclamation points" to the negative!

UT big game problems are coaching problems. The Florida loss was not Ainges failure it was the couches they went too consevitive in the 3rd quarter and never came out of it.
The running game wasnt working. running on 1st and 2nd and putting your team in everyone knows you have to pass mode is too easy for a defensive line. They know they dont have to account for the run. Pin them ears back and rush  the Quaterback.
You just cant play to protect a small lead anymore in College football. I think UT has
enough talent accross the board too have a good balanced attack. I say do what ever works till it stops working. My .02

Sorry, bro it wasn't that running game wasn't working, is was more like Fl defense just killed the run.. Yeah I'll give ainge some props, he did manage to put up some good passes, but Florida's defense crushed the UT line.

No doubt, but you dodged the point. Had UT been as conservative in the 3rd Qtr as you wrote, then they never would've had a 10 point lead in the 4th, would they????

YES YOU DO!!!!!!!

Man, I can't say enough.  In the first half I had that thought..."this could be ugly, and it will be a long dangerous ride home".  But we made that UGA our, well you know.  I am amazed that we put 51 points up against GEORGIA!!!!!!!!!!

When we were leaving the stadium it was rowdy, there were TN fans everywhere and we got noisy everytime we saw other TN fans.  It was awesome UGA fans were not talkin' much trash afterwards, if they said anything all we had to say was "51"!

I am going to go post in the Georgia forum, you all should come over and post up!

I almost turned off the tv when GA went up 24 to 7. Once we scored & cut it to 24 to 14, I thought we might have a chance............

Now the only two teams you have to worry about the rest of the season are SC and LSU (IMHO).

good for you.

I get nothing but abuse from other fans.  I am less worried about LSU than I am Arkansas now.  They have always played us hard anyway, but to go into Auburn and beat them...

We had a Florida fan in our forum for a week or more after they won.  It is just part of the game imo.

I have trouble believing that the Tide is going to be able to beat UT, they don't really have a way of putting points on the board.  Of course, this is the SEC and anything can happen, it's not like the Pac-10 or the WAC.  I will be glad to eat crow if Alabama beats us.  If they do, then they deserve it.

I dont think Bama will win either, but it would be nice.

AFA the horrible Georgia fans - I gave directions, parking information, etc to two TN fans who got tickets to the game.  Both had a great time, and came back telling me how nice Athens, Sanford Stadium, and the Georgia fans were.

Overall that was our experience as well.  There were a few fans that were straight-up jerks (probably drunk, frat kids).  Tennessee has more than their fair share of them.  Last year the Georgia fans were pretty obnoxious during their blowout, which is their right to do so.  So we did our share, but usually we just got crazy around TN fans, or when the Georgia fans started it.  My friend was wearing a UT flag as a cape so he caught a lot of hell on the way in, so he gave some back on the way out.  We waved our large flags at the georgia fans on the buses which they responded with birds (don't blame them).  Understand that I was happy that it was hostile on the way in, with some good chatter going both ways.  The only thing I didn't like was when some fans, in fact I am sure they were frat kids, took personal shots at us!  I know of one guy who got hit in the head with a beer bottle.

The campus is beautiful, and again 90% of the fans were kind, one gave directions to parking before we even got to the campus!  And we got free parking near the stadium, amazing!  The traffic is about 100 times worse than Knoxville though.  We have more ways out of Knoxville, and we were only given one way out of Athens.  We had a great time.

ETA:  Making fun of Rocky-Top (our song), our colors, etc.  That kind of stuff is fine with me, because it was all done in fun!

Yep, there are always a few in every crowd.  The frat kids and new grads seem to be the worst.  Otherwise, most of the shit-talking is in good fun.  I took a TN fan to the game 2 years ago, and had one little asshole behind us wanting to start a fight.  About 8 of us turned around and told him to STFU, he was embarrasing Georgia.

I could have told you a back way out of Athens to I-85 if I had known some Arfcommers were going.  I can usually be in Atlanta an hour after getting out of the parking lots.

Sept 22, 2007?  Is that the next time UGA and Bama play?  By that time, JP Wilson will have had a year under his belt as will the entire offense.  You must remember that this is their first year under Shula without the NCAA penalties.  Wilson may turn into a great one, but watching the UF/LSU game, they mentioned that Bama tried to get Tebow to come there.  That might have been sweet.

Did you see his little jump pass for a TD?  That was pretty unorthodox, but spectacular.

When I said it will be a different story in a few weeks, I meant I would be pulling for the Tide against the Vols (whereas I was pulling for the Vols this time), not that they would beat them.  I don't have a lot of hope that they will, but I can still root for them.

As for a lot of people blaming Joe T., I think that is nonsense.  I think he played more than well enough to win.  Yeah, he had some problems but those don't account for the 50+ points UT scored.

Yes, it is.  So will our offense.  Every Georgia fan with any sense expects this to be a down year offensively.

I know, I work with a rabid Bama fan.  It will take a little longer to fully recover, but I expect Bama to be a solid contender again.

For future reference:  get on the Athens bypass as you leave, go north on Hwy 441 to Commerce.  Get on I-85 to Atlanta.

Takes about 30 minutes to get to Commerce, and another 30-45 minutes to get to the east side of Atlanta.

It accounts for 21 points, which is substantial (two interceptions and one fumble that each lead to a touchdown)

Joe T. is not a good Quarterback IMHO.  Of course, I am limited in knowledge.
