I read somewhere that you have to pay a separate fee for the fingerprinting required for a Carry Permit. Is that accurate? Seems kinda strange.

If someone is charging you for fingerprints, they're not doing the right thing. Any cost of printing should be covered in your $115 check to the Dept. of Safety.

BTW - I'm a TN certified Carry Permit Instructor.

Mine was free, i think"it was 12 years ago". I had rather paid a few extra bucks than stand in line at the DMV.
