I was hoping I could get a few recommendations on competent gunsmiths in the area.

For what?

There is a guy Colbert or Kolbert in Douglas that comes highly recommended.

I have had Kevin Rayhill of Stockade Stocks in Chadron, NE work on my Rem 700, and there are several excellent gunsmiths in the Black Hills.

Those are the only ones I have experience with.

Nothing in particular. I was just asking because I'm sure I'll need some sort of help in the future. Thanks for the info.

If it's for barrel, trigger, or stock work, I can give you the name of a man I met here in Casper who's one of the best I've ever seen.  He seems to do mostly Fudd type rifles, though a staunch supporter of all gun rights per the bumper stickers on his little hybrid car, and the interest he showed in my 6.5 Grendel.   The old man has got a full shop of lathes and machinery and knows how to use them.

His name is Dale Story, and he is a freaking genius

ETA - I can't remember his exact adress...I just moved here from Oklahoma...but he's around 1st street and Beverly

ETA2 - This man can make a bullpup trigger (mechanically linked, of course) that is unreal.
