Hi!
I am relocating from Las Vegas, NV to Francis, UT this weekend and wanted to introduce myself. I am presently employed by a global firearms manufacturer and I am active in the firearms training and competition community. I lived in Moab, UT for four years in the late 90's working for various outdoor adventure guide services and relocated to Vegas to pursue a different line of work and I am looking forward to getting back to Utah. Though I will be traveling a bit, I can't wait to enjoy the Utah outdoors again and get my desk driven physique looking like someone that actually enjoys life outside! I am looking to network and meet with all types of people from the Park City, Francis, Kamas, Heber City, Salt Lake area that enjoy USPSA pistol and 3 gun matches, tactical training, long range shooting, ice & rock climbing, and biking. I already have my Utah CCW permit but have a few questions regarding some of the gun laws. Hope I get to meet some of you from this board in the near future. Best, Ernie Beckwith |

Welcome back. That is a great area to live in.
A great board I visit often regarding outdoor stuff along the Wasatch front is http://www.bogley.com/forum/. It is fairly active and great for getting trip reports for hiking/climbing/biking. |
| There is some great long range shooting matches out at the old AAF base in Wendover. Also, there are some mid range matches in Centerville. Here is a link to the USRPA website: USRPA.org |

Well I guess we are going to be neighbors! Welcome. I live right by the flashing light in Francis!!!
I cant shoot a pistol to save my ass, but I host a pretty cool Tactical precision rifle match every month in Park City(PCPR Park City Precision Rifle). I post all the info about the match on snipershide. |

Thanks for the info.
I have a new bolt gun that I need to wring out so the long range stuff is good to hear. Sounds like there is quite a bit going on within a few hours drive. dunno, We will have to get together! I should be up there full time by 7/4. I just messed myself lifting some steel and it looks like I might have to have a quick out-patient surgery that will set me back a day or so. Look forward to your matches! Long distance is my new endeavor and I am looking to broaden my skill set a bit. Thanks again! |
