Bit of a spike in BETA count  early morning  03 April at the (EPA.GOV) Idaho Falls radiation monitor.
Any private  radiation monitor  data to  compare this with?

Sorry, I farted?

Honestly, in a town with workers from the INL, and having a source company in town, a minor beta spike isn't something to worry about in the slightest.  That wasn't even the biggest beta spike on the graph, nor the highest micro-baseline.

But I'm going to try to pick up a gammascout for the super cheap on ebay, after the radiation craze has passed.

Beta has very low pentration power.  It can be shielded with a piece of paper, depending on strength of the source.

So, then the trick is to be sure and individually  wrap any stray radionucleides in PAPER before ingesting them.  This  way the radiation wont harm any of your cells or  internal organs.
Thank you for the tip.

just place a paper bag over your head and rubber band around the bag at your neck and you will be fine.
