I'm considering taking up the trade when I return from Kenya sometime around August, and am curious as to the status of the workplace/training/jobs in Utah right now, as well as places I should look into for an internship. I'd very much like to get into the firearms fabrication/design aspect of things.
I know D'Arcy Echols & Co makes high end hunting rifles about 3 blocks from my parents house, but I remember his shop being a 2 or 3 man operation and with a rifle cost of $12k, doubt he'd be willing to let an apprentice fuck something up. Any suggestions? I posted in the Team forum and got 1 response :( |
