Where is the best place to buy powder in the Ogden area? I went to Sportsmans warehouse and they did not have a very good selection. Can't find IMR 2895 or 4064. Common enough stuff????

Try Kents Sporting Goods.

Gallenson's downtown SLC has some great prices but limited selection but my second suggestion would be Sportsmans Wharehouse (they tend to have better prices).  Doug's Shoot N Sports has some limited reloading items at a decent price as well.  Personally I get mine through MidwayUSA in bulk.

Gallenson's can be really hit or miss on if they have your powder in stock.  Guess they dont get stock in as often as they need to or something.  On the other hand, many times they'll have something in back they just haven't gotten around to sticking on the shelf yet.  Never hurts to ask.  Its not like they'll toss you out of the store or anything.

kents usaully has everything you need, but they are pricey.. I picked up an RCBS drop tube from them becuase I needed it badly, and sportsmans didnt have one in.. they charged me something like 13 bucks. but they had me over a barrel though. if sportsmans would have had it in, it would have been like 4 bucks. but kents does usaully stock more stuff than sportsmans.

You've got to shop around.

Gallenson's has some good powders; however doing stuff online in bulk through powder valley is the best.  You can organize a group buy here just run it through medicmandan first.  Primers are best through powder valley as well.

Doug's has good prices on once fired brass and the bumblebee cast bullets.  That's all I buy some Doug's reloading wise.

Sportsmans is hit and miss.  If you've got a coupon you can score there pretty well.  Also, don't forget to check the bargain cave at Cabela's.  I scored an awesome deal on some HP 9mm bullets because the boxes were dented.

Smith and Edwards maybe? It has been a while since I was in there, but the last time I stopped in they had a particular bullet I was looking for and couldn't find anywhere else.

If nothing else they have a lot of surplus stuff to look at too, lol.

The selection in the Ogden area is focused on the big box store. I have found Sportsman's Ogden to have a pretty good selection but then I usually use Hodgdon products. The problem with inet is the $20 haz mat fee for primers or powder.
