I'm moving myself around the middle of August, the family in early September, probably. My work is south of the airport, so does anyone know of safe, cheap (furnishings unnecessary) single apartments in the area less than $500/month? I need to rent a 3-bedroom for the family. Murray? Midvale? Is everything there $500k-$1M or what? I have an OR CCW, and a WA permit (MT lapsed of course). Will the WA permit clear me to carry in UT? Will it short-cut the process of getting a UT CCW - specifically the "training required" section of 53-5-704 
If not, that indicates my training courses in OR and MT are not acceptable. Does anyone have a list of certified trainers for the SLC area? I'm really at a loss...don't even know what else to ask at this point. Any tips? Hints? Suggestions? Warnings?  PS As an engineer, the grid-system address thing in SLC really appeals to me.  |

Well, here's a shot at giving you a little info: No idea on the housing. As for the CCW, Utah recognizes permits from all the other states, so you're good there. In regards to the "training," it's a 3-4 hour class (some of which is finger printing). There's not even a shooting requirement. There are some members here who do the classes, so they can probably give you more info on that. Hope that's a start. I'm sure some others will chime in to fill in the holes. |

I live in West Valley City not to far from 2100 s and 5600 w and can be to the airport in 20 minutes. I fly out about every month and for 500 K you will get a lot. the average in my neighborhood is about 230-240. This will give you some info on the realestate here in Utah.
