that place is way way overrated. I was there earlier today and I'm surprised I'm still alive...

Glad you made it out alive. Would you like to tell me somewhere else then? I'm new to Utah, so I don't really know all the shooting areas.

ETA: I would like to do some bunny slaying too.

If you don't mind a little bit of a drive, go out towards the Skull Valley area. There is usually plenty of rabbits and there are a few places to shoot, just take I80 west and the exit is past Grantsville.

the only place i go rabbit hunting anymore is just west of Oak City (about 2 hrs S W of SLC). It's the only place I've found that I can gaurantee will have rabbits. There are other places like the vernon hills or grantsville but they are hit and miss. I've been down there 10-12 times this year by myself (my friends dont think its worth the drive) and I've never gotten less than 4 rabbits. Two years ago I got 14 rabbits by myself with my 16" AR.  When I was in high school we would go spot-lighting down there and we would average 50 rabbits a night. to me its worth the drive. YMMV
