I talked to gunnies in orem and the guy quoted me $50-60 and a week turn around

Too much, It's about a $35 dollar job with the barrel removed.
Besides, with the service/attitude I received the last time I walked in Gunnies, I wouldn't let them swap grips on my 1911 much less approach my barrel with a sharp object..

Yeah, I'm glad I saw this before I shipped mine, I had it packaged and ready to go.

I didn't get a chance to call them yet, last week was one helluva month.

If anybody else wants this done, let me know as I have 3 to thread and maybe the more we take in, the better the price will be.
