| My wife and I are going (back) to Bend for our first anniversary in a few days. What do you central OR folks recommend for a nice place for an anniversary dinner? |
| There are not to many fancy places there but I have enjoyed Zydeco, Anthony's, and Noi Thai cuisine. I've taken my wife there at night with both of us bing dressed up. Since its Bend, all of the places will have customers wearing different types of clothes but they are nice restaurants. |

If you are looking for REALLY nice:
Ariana is really hard to beat. Pricey and need a reservation, but very nice. Zydeco never disappoints. The Row (the "bar" at Tetherow) is really good. I prefer it to the "nice" restaurant next door. Same kitchen. Oblivion Brewing does great stuff. Not as "romantic" as the places above. Pine Tavern has a winning location, but new owner who we all hoped would "fix it" has failed in his attempt. 900 Wall is also hard to beat. Worthy Brewing on the eastside of town has a great facility. About 1/2 of the time it is awesome. But it is so inconsistent, I won't go there anymore to eat. We used to stop there all the time after a trip to the range (COSSA) but now bypass it and head to Silver Moon or Bend Brewing for a post range trip snack/drink. Am I too late? If so, hope you had a good trip to Bend. |

Quoted:
10 Barrel brew pub is one we always hit while we are there. Only if you love a long wait and loud. Quoted:
Gregg's Grill and Anthony's, both are at the Old Mill mall and within a block of each other. Broken Top's food has declined a bit. All average at best. |

A lot of people embellish and say things like "it was the best [fill in the blank] I've ever had," but I had the best filet mignon I've ever had there. Incredible. Thanks all for the recommendations, our trip was great. We got to do a lot of the things we wanted to do last year but ran out of time. |
