We recently purchased a house with a Gas range. The Oven was working great until the other night, the top burners work fine but the oven itself isnt warming up. After some looking I found out that the range isnt letting gas into the oven to light. Im assuming that something is wrong with the pilot light sensor. Anyone know where I can find this or what to look for when I do find it?

Or if someone can recomend a good appliance guy in albany that would be great.

Sorry can't help.  Only gas setups I've used are dual fuel, and used elec for the over.  Is there a manual somewhere with it?  Or failing that, a manufacturer + part number.  Can probably find the manual online and look for the pilot lighting instructions/trouble shooting steps.

Is it a stading pilot, spark ignition or hot surface ignition. The latter two need 110v to run.  that is where i would start

If it's an older unit it will have a pilot light kill switch which will shut off the gas if the pilot light goes out, you need to find the pilot valve and the peizo spark unit, they have to be accessible usually through the front panel on the bottom of the range sometimes through the floor of the oven(rarely) you will need to turn the pilot valve on and hold it on (usually by pushing down) and then spark the sparker till the gas ignites, DO THIS WITH THE OVEN IN THE OFF POSITION. once the pilot lights keep the valve on for about 20-30 seconds it should stay on after that if not repeat. you should have a nice little pilot flame in there close everything back up and then try to turn the oven on, you should hear it light and feel it getting warmer.

If it's electronic it must have power and checking for loose connections would be a good start, if it at any point starts to feel like to much don't be afraid to call some one who knows whats going on for help. ALSO KNOW where your gas shut off is both inside the house (should be one behind the oven, hopefully reachable once you remove the lower front panel) and Outside at the meter.

You mean the safety? Also, the standing pilot, when you turn the oven on, is supposed to increase in size and impinge onto the safety, often these get partially clogged and careful cleaning with a small brass brush is all that is needed to get it working.
