I'm a Washington guy, but I'm going to be in Bend for a few days this week with the family.  Are there any good gun stores in the area I should be sure to check out. I don't need anything special  right now, but I'm always looking. I appreciate any advice you might have.

There are no good gun shops in Bend. Sportsmans HAD the best selection and pricing but they are now practically out of stock on everything.

There are a couple good FFLs who will do transfers for you, but they are out of their house.

In before someone mentions lost creek armory.

+1

Nothing in Bend that is a must-see.

I go into the Cash Connection pawn shop once or twice a week just to see if they have anything new that I may be interested in.

Nosler has many Fudd rifles and sometimes a 50 cal.  Their pistols range from wheel guns to highend auto's.  Call ahead of time (days) and arrange a tour of their factory.

After you visit the Nosler shop and tour, head over two blocks and do the tour at Deschutes Brewery.  Fun tour and great beer.

I haven't been in there in a while, but Tom was always good to me. What's changed, and when?

IMO, nothing has changed except that his inventory is very low.  No black rifles last time I was there.
