There is a lot of talk going on about how bad/corrupt/etc. the gov't is, but what is anyone doing besides posting on forums such as this. What can we do? How about some organization. If you really believe we need to fix the way things are going, why don't we start getting things together. Figure out who's with us.

These groups may already exist, but I don't know about them. I live in the SW Washington/Portland, OR area. Most people here are just happy to have their hybrid cars and a nice, safe living room. As long as you don't take away their Starbuck's and comfy couches, they don't care.

I'm done with sitting around and watching the country go to hell in a hand basket.

I don't want to spout all of the conpiracy theories to you...most of you have already heard that stuff. If you haven't, contact me and I can send you some DVD's. I'm not saying they're right, but they raise some interesting questions that will make you go "huh."

As far as organizing, I'd like to start gathering like minded people in my area for local meets. I don't have a cool website that people can log into, but I have a comfortable, gun friendly, kid free house that I'm more than willing to volunteer for "meetings" or what not.

If anyone is interested, post up or send me an IM. If you already have something like this going in my area, or anywhere in the country, please contact me so I can join up/get some pointers.

Don't know for sure yet.  That's part of the reason I want to get a group together.  We could do some brainstorming and see where that leads us.  Call me paranoid, but I don't like to talk about a lot of that stuff on the interweb.

Nothing illegal about forming a Milita. Benj. Franklin formed his back in 1747 I just read. Grab 2-3 like minded buddys and do just that. I feel that gun ownership is one of the checks and balances that due to it's very existance itself, gives weight to the other constitutional rights we have.

Certainly if you feel the need to change things, a letter writing campaign and calls to politicians is the ticket. Frankly, I feel that MOST politicians are pretty good folks, yet we only read about the bad apples in the news: which gives many people the belief (if they are news junkies) the idea that it's all going to shit...when it's not doing so in reality.

Good luck.

Would you mind naming for me a couple that don't think that they could run your life better than you? That don't think they could spend your money better than you? That don't think that they need to do things "for you own good" because you are:

a) hurting the environment
b) hurting minorities
c) hurting "the children"

Any politicians that don't think that they are the answer to all your problems?
