Some people just mentioned their business, and got smacked for it. It looks like the OHTF is just going the be the Elcid kewl kids club. The only shoots I see are the ones he sponsers and makes money off if (come shoot my automatic firearms for a fee). I have been here for many years, this is NOT a change for the better.

I've used him several times and he's just a somewhat eccentric gun nut that does this as a hobby out of his garage. He doesn't have a big shop, a big inventory, it's just a hobby. He's only trying to help out the community by offering things cheaply. Hell, he did transfers for free in November. $5, you seriously think he's out to make money from this board from $5 transfers? Grow up people. Use him, don't use him, it's not like a few $5 transfers will make a bit of difference to his income. Stop attacking him for trying to save some people money and meet fellow gun people. |

I don't know what to say. I am following the rules! The oregon hometown forum is a place for customers. I am not advertising a product in any way. I am offering a service (ok) for customers to get transfers for less than anywhere else. My customer service is top notch (just ask my actual customers). I have been very nice, the personal attacks won't affect me, nor should they. These times are very hard right now and people need to get the best deal. More guns in people's hands is better than less. I am sure we would all agree on that. So that is why I am here, to sponsor get togethers (very fun by the way, thanks for all you guys that came out), and get guns into peoples hands for a very low transfer fee. That is it..... I am only here to help. |

All we are asking for is some fairness in the rules. In response, I hear you saying the above. Other dealers have tried to help members, and got banned for it. Some people just mentioned their business, and got smacked for it. It looks like the OHTF is just going the be the Elcid kewl kids club. The only shoots I see are the ones he sponsers and makes money off if (come shoot my automatic firearms for a fee). I have been here for many years, this is NOT a change for the better.
I don't know what to say. I am following the rules! The oregon hometown forum is a place for customers. I am not advertising a product in any way. I am offering a service (ok) for customers to get transfers for less than anywhere else. My customer service is top notch (just ask my actual customers). I have been very nice, the personal attacks won't affect me, nor should they. These times are very hard right now and people need to get the best deal. More guns in people's hands is better than less. I am sure we would all agree on that. So that is why I am here, to sponsor get togethers (very fun by the way, thanks for all you guys that came out), and get guns into peoples hands for a very low transfer fee. That is it..... I am only here to help. ????The ORHTF is a place for customers...... ???? Hmm, I always thought of it as a place for FRIENDS. If it is a place for customers, then it no longer what I remember it to be. Making money off of the site is making money off of the site. Sales or service. Still making money off of the OHTF. You know what......you are absolutly correct. The first 5 people that reference this thread get their transfer absolutly FREE. There, now I am not making money, the people get a great deal too. I will even pay for your background check!!!!! (that will cost me 50 dollars) I think that will better help service the people here.

I have no interest in being an active member of this board judging from all the posts in this thread. I prefer a bit more maturity, no personal attacks. I spend my time elsewhere. I've just had several pleasant transactions with Elcid and plan to keep buying things from him. With the threat of the AWB being reinstated by our new leader i think we need to unite and not bicker over pointless stuff like this. |

I think it boils down to this. You have a group of people that have shot together, traded together, worked together and got drunk together belonging to HTF. Some of the members incur the wrath of the owners of the HTF and are summarily removed from the rolls of membership. Another member starts to commit the SAME OFFENSES that caused the removal of the other members, and at the same time states that he has full approval of the owner to proceed. Other members have asked for this privilege and have been denied, unless they pay for the privilege. This same member got started in his endeavors by asking the former members the right path to take to become a dealer. Once he is established as a dealer, he proceeds to undercut the very same people that helped him along. Competition is good, but if someone is selling at $1.00 over cost because he doesn't need any profit and he does it to keep from being bored, where does that leave the people that depend on a fair profit to make ends meet? Now, when the discrepancies and out and out lies (it seems) are exposed, backpedaling and gifts to save his standing are presented. I can't abide by that, and am sad that it has come down to this. I am done commenting on this situation, and I don't see anything good coming out of this as far as the HTF is concerned. The damage is done, and it willnever be the same here again!

I do have full approval, SO IT IS NOT AN OFFENSE. In the same breath, no one helped me. When I asked for help, I was laughed at. I never got any. Now that it is on the flip side, people are butt hurt. I guess I really don't need to defend myself. No reason to. The op of this thread is using me for a xfer, so my work here is done.
