OK, so I hate my eothingy and an Aimpoint isn't much better. It's my poor eyesight astigmatism that causes blooming and fuzzies like you would not believe. Yes I can use irons, but as one who spent many days gawking through a PM6 with mil-dot reticle I now hanker for something a little more scope-like but still 1x for CQB. I though all was lost until Leupold shipped this guy:
Leupold Prismatic ARFCOM discussion Yes, I know it can't cowitness (I don't care) Yes I know I may need to put it on a QD base to make my BUIS usable I don't know where to buy it locally and would prefer to spend my money locally. What say the gurus of OR? Cheers 7.62 |

my poor eyesight astigmatism
How 'bout some eye glasses or contact lenses? That would solve the real problem. I have to wear glasses (or contacts) whenever I want to see. My last eye doc actually took the time to dial in my stig correction with contacts when I explained to him about the whole 'dot looks like a Nike swoosh' thing. BSW |

My last eye doc actually took the time to dial in my stig correction with contacts when I explained to him about the whole 'dot looks like a Nike swoosh' thing. BSW I had Lasik done a year and a half ago but still have a slight stig. that is correctable with my glasses. My T1 dot looks like a cluster of grapes without the glasses and a circular cluster with them, so glasses are not always the solution to the issue. I'm not an eye doc, but I think there is more to it than that. Even so, the only time you notice it is when looking for it. In the field a dot is not a scope and if you are using as one you are misapplying the device to the situation. It's like flashlight freaks that have a cow over an LED light being a "bluish" tint when you can only notice it on a white wall. Too much is made of the dot issue IMO, just shoot it. |

No sights; area fire from the hip. ![]() LOL! Anyhow, I found one locally to have a peer through. It works. Stadia line keep you upright and level, there's a small dot for precise work, and a nice big circle for up-close and personal. The lines are rather thin compared with the CQT, and it's nowhere near as in-your-face as a dot or hologram. I'm thinkin I like it... I might have to stump up the $499 if I can't find it on the EE. I have an eotech and the ring and dot are slightly haloey (new word, LOL) You will love it. |
