Eh....

I got there at about 830 went in did a little looking then went back out to meet a board member to pick up the 7.62 ammo I bought from him. Then went back in and shopped for about 3.5 hours.

Nothing that exciting. The animal displays are real neat and impressive and the shear size of the store is almost overwhelming. It was nice to be able to look at everything that you see in the catalog but........the prices SUCKED!! By about 11 or 1130 it started getting real crowded so I cut myself short on the trip and went and had an Ostrich Sammich and then left.

Overall, I would not make another special trip up there. I would go there again only if I was going to be up there in the area. Sportsman's Warehouse has the same stuff, just not as much, as Cabelas and their prices are the same and lower than Cabelas.

Not to mention the traffic on the way back home....yuck!! 40mph from Cabelas all the way to Chehalis and there wasn't even any snow on the road.

Haha...on the 24th it was zombieland.....everyone walking around with a glazed look in their eyes, bumping into each other going...."wow....look at all this stuff........."

I didn't buy a damn thing. Looked at some prices and got the hell out. My folks were probably there sometime today. I warned em into wasn't THAT impressive.

What I always liked about the Cabelas in East Grand Forks was the Bargain Cave. Got a couple of night vision pieces in there for $100 each. Played with them awhile and traded one for a Glock 17 and another for an Oly AR15. Cheap way to figure out I didn't like Gen 1 stuff, and got darn neart $1000 worth for guns in trade to boot.

Bargain Cave rules! I've spent so much money there. Got my rangefinder and crimson trace grips in there...
That was one of the fun things about driving a truck. I stopped at a lot of Cabelas stores Kearney, Sidney, Salt Lake City, Rogers, Owatanna... Went past tons of times but never stopped in for the Wheeling or Hamburg locations.

The store in East Grand Forks MN, my home town, is cool but overpriced as well.
Remember the Bargain Caves prices are negotiable. I bought a Green Mountain Fluted SS Bull barrel for a 10-22 marked at 80$ for 50$. Dickering at a chain store makes me
