So I am looking for a new buttstock and I have heard mixed reviews about the CAA stocks. What say the HTF... |
I have to agree with Boo. I recently purchased a VLTOR Clubfoot stock it is very comfy and the cheek weld is outstanding. Watch the EE for deals. I scored mine for $100 shipped for the complete stock assembly (mil spec tube, buffer & spring, castle nut, end plate). Don't have any experience with the CAA stock itself, but but there saddle works very well. |
Also $200 just for the stock :D Grab a VLTOR Modstock :D |
Notice that the cheekweld is still on the buffer tube with all those stocks. The MagPul M93B (and upcoming UBR) changes that. The cheekweld is where you want it for NTCH style shooting. |
And you get it all for more than twice the price of the VLTOR! You can't lose!! Wait, that didn't come out right... |
I got mine used for about the same as a VLTOR + Tube. And it's still a nicer stock. That said, why the fuck are you crapping in this thread? |
Not worth it |
Opinions are like...well nevermind. Not worth it. |
You say that like it's a bad thing. Other than the stock, what's a tube, buffer and spring cost? Honestly, it's a great stock - worth the $50 differential, IMHO |
What is that? Some sort of 607 bastard child/wanna be? |
How is the M4 SOCOM (L) from Ace Ltd.? It looks like it would be a little better then a regular stock for NTCH shooting. |
You can NTCH just fine with the VLTOR....I'm just not doing it in the pic....As for the Socom.....being that I have one right next to me waiting to ship out....it doesn't do anything for me. Take your A2 stock off and shoulder just the buffer tube...that'll give you an idea of a Socom's cheek weld. |
So the foam pad does not help? Bummer. |
Sorry, just hacking on you a bit. |
