Don't miss the June 9th Practical Rifle match.  It will most likely be the best match of the year (because of the types of people who stay home due to the threat of a couple of rain showers).

We are again in the action pits with the possibility of one long-range stage in the quarry.  Juniors (17 and under) and women shoot for free.  Everyone else pays $15.  Any standard military caliber is fine, including 223 (556), 308 (762), 762X39, 30 carbine and 30.06.  You may use steel-core ammo for the stages in the action pits, but bring at least 20 rounds of non-magnetic ammo just in case we do the long-range stage in the quarry.  You will also need a handgun and 20-25 rounds of ammo for it.

You rifle will need to be in a case and your handgun in a case or holster (no cross-draw or shoulder holsters, please).

You can shoot two different rifles if you want, but you have to pay two match fees and help with taping twice as much.

I hope you can make it!

I forgot to mention that we will again have PCC (pistol caliber carbine) and 22 rimfire categories, just like last month.

If you are shooting 22 rimfire, your handgun can also be 22 rimfire.  If you are shooting rifles or PCCs, your handgun must be conventional handgun calibers (no rifle calibers in handguns or 22 unless in 22 category).

I have a 1 year aniversery with the fiance that day... I wonder how hard it would be to get her to buy off on the idea that practical rifle match is her suprise gift? Hmmm.... and she would be free. I think I might even have a gift card for breakfast

If you were at the match, please check all your gear and all your pockets and anywhere a lost scoresheet might have been misplaced.  If you happen to find it, please email the info from it to me ASAP, otherwise I have to post the scores without using stage 4, the ladder stage.

The stage 4 scoresheet that is missing had Chad, Jason B, Larry, Adam, Scott, Randy, David, Chris, Mike, Adrian and Dan on it.  Perhaps someone put it in their gear bag and forgot to turn it in.  It may have been the first stage they shot.  We checked everywhere on the range including every garbage can for miles, but no luck.

That was my squad.  I don't remember who was walking the score sheet back for that stage, it could have been me.  I turned in two score cards, one for our first stage (Stage 4 was our second stage) and one for the second to last stage.  It could have been either Jason or Dan who walked it back, they were they other RO/Asst RO.

funny thing t I did find a spring over in that bay while I was cleaning up.  I thought for sure it was yours.  Another indivudal had a the same rifle there as you.  I was able to examine the inspection cover spring.  The one I found didn't match..   Sorry.
