Hey guys I'm looking to find out your opinion on some traffic patterns in the Portland to Aurora travel. I'm looking at a possible job in the Canby Aurora area and would be commuting from SE Portland. It looks like 99E would be a shorter trip for me and I know I-5/I-205 can get crowded. I've just never traveled on 99E during commute hours. Anyone suggest a good route? |

Why not let the modern era work for you? ODOT Trip Check For Portland Metro. Just guessing, but there will probably be stretches of 99E that will be stop-and-go during typical commute hours. If you and the job work well together, you could always move to Aurora/Canby - I think housing is cheaper there. |

Cool, so you'd probably be working at the Aurora Airport? One of my buddies commutes from West Linn to there, so I'll ask what is the quickest way. If you do take a job out there you really should consider moving out there. The property values are really going up and its a decent place to live. |

Your best bet by far is 205 to 99E and 99 all the way in. Most the traffic on 99 will be goin the other way as people are commuting into Portland. Unless there is a freak accident or something you should have a nice commute. I live in Colton and work in Canby so I never see traffic. Its about 17 miles for me and I see a total of 5 stop signs in my whole commute. I've never had a traffic issue, and most the time there is no one else around me. |
