SPEED STEEL is this Saturday, 9AM at the Albany Rifle and Pistol Club.

Who’s goin?

Civil?

Only $10 and a few hundred rounds (depending on how much you miss), makes for a good day of shooting.

I might stop in for a minute, but I have my new member orientation for ARPC right after im pretty excited!

The guy who officiates Steel, Paul Johnson, is also the guy who hosts the new member's orientation, so if you are worried about missing it there is no need.

I don't really plan to take the PE, but figured while the info is still fresh I should try for the FE.  Being an ME it's not as important as Civil Eng.

I would but the funds are super low right now.  I have a little bit left from last time but not near enough for me to shoot.  So I will not be there this time.  I really need to make it down to one of those one day.

I think Civil would, but read a post about how he was having a hard time locating any ammo.

I'll be there to watch the first time to see how it's done.  I am running a little low on ammo tho

Wow it was fun to watch.  Skillz ranged from pretty dang fast...like CH139.....down to about what I might be able to do  I've never shot for speed and this is a totally different way of shooting to me.

I'll put in some practice time and then give it a go.  I think I will get a 22 and work on form before I try with my 40's or 45's since they are hard for me to follow up quickly with.

Any suggestions on good simi-auto 22's?

I might even try to ASK really nice about my 5.7 since it's very quick on follow up shots, but they don't want me putting holes in the steel plates  I dont think the 5.7 ss195 or ss197 I shoot will go through a steel plate of the type they use, but I will try it out on one of my own plates first and see if it does punch any holes.  Now if I had some of that evil ss190 military steel core ammo then I assume I would be punching holes

Also nice to meet Mon-Roe

Bottom line on Speed Steel.......it looks like FUN

Ruger Mk II 5 inch Bull Barrel.

That’s Jerry Miculek, he was out at the ARPC last summer for the Multi-Gun Nationals.
