Hey, the FFL in my town (The Dalles) won't help me buy guns. They won't go through online retailers at all (as in, Atlantic Firearms or Aimsurplus). What other options do I have? Is there anyone near by that can help me out?

How many choices do you have in The Dalles?  Will the "thrift" shop place do transfers for you?

Otherwise, probably check to see what dealers are in Hood River.

Have you tried the Old Mill Bargain Center.  The place is odd to say the least but is a sporting goods retailer and could get you what you want.  If he won't play ball Kieths and a couple of other guys in Gresham probably will.

Old Mill Bargain Center

Yeah, that the thrift shop I was referring to on the east end of town.

got the same problem.  I want recievers from POF and Bushmaster, but they don't do 3rd party transfers.  Meaning sell to me with someone else's FFL.  I guess you gotta find a shop that will order it.

Yep, the bargain center is what I'm talking about, they won't do it. That's the shop that totally fucked trying to ship a gun for me, they're running a rediculous half-assed shop. Then there's the shop in Hood River, no way am I doing business with them. Even if they will do it, I can't stand talking to the people who "work" there.

I use force 10 in Newberg.  Some places may match their price, but I have only foung FTF to be cheaper.  I have bought many online guns, and had them shipped from non-FFL holders.

I'd consider just driving down to Keith's in Gresham if you have other things to do in Portland.  I bought a 7.62X39 Saiga from him 2-3 weeks ago for $279 + $10 Oregon check, you won't save a lot shopping on line.

But gas is expensive, so make sure it coincides with another trip to Portland.

Glad I could help on getting your shotgun shipped.

Is Gresham actually in the city of Portland? I'm very new to Oregon, I've only been in the area for a few weeks.

Gresham and Keith's are actually due south Troutdale and Wood Village, so not technically in Portland but close enough.

Keith's is probably an hour and a half trip from The Dalles.
