  All right! My Bushmaster A2 I bought in 1995. Under $600 delivered from a friend who had an FFL. Sent it to Quality Parts and had a Compass Lake trigger put in. I just rebarreled it after the ban lifted and went through the whole gun, resprung it with David Tubb competition springs. I just finished putting together the Carbine. It is almost all Bushmaster. Heavy barrel, fluted, Yankee Hill handguards, flash hider and folder rear site. Rock river 2 stage trigger. It also has David Tubb springs. I have about 600 rounds through it. No malfunctions. Tac driver. With the EoTech, I've been hitting the gong at my gun club at 165 yards repeatedly. I live out on the east side, Portland. Anybody shoot at Douglas Ridge? |
I live near Tri County, but compete at Douglas Ridge every so often. How does your rifle do at 1000 yards, using just the iron sights?  (Just funnin ya!) P.S., there's a 1000 yard match at Douglas Ridge on the 25th. |
You might have better luck with your 20" barreled AR, shooting 80 grain low drag bullets at 2800+ FPS. That is, unless your M1 has been accurized by someone that knows what they're doing. (Darned few of those people around too...) Seriously, come on out if you're interested in learning about shooting long range with a rifle. (The NRA considers shooting 300 yards and less to be short range, and 500/600 yards as mid-range.) |
