Uncle Sugar, in his infinite wisdom, decided it would be a good idea to send us back to Georgia, so I thought I'd do the proper thing and say hello. We'll be moving to the Columbus area (Ft. Benning) from NC (Ft. Bragg) at the end of the month, and signed a lease for a house on a couple acres of land in the Forston area over the weekend. I'll make sure and read thru the tacked threads at the top of the page before asking a bunch of stupid questions, but I think we'll be alright. We spent our first 5 years in the Army at Ft. Stewart, so I'm fairly familiar with GA law, etc.
I've seen the thread about the upcoming fall GAHTF shoot... have to see what the work schedule looks like, but it sounds fun. Can't say we're happy with the timing of the move, but we're happy to be back in GA versus alot of other places they could've sent us. See y'all soon.

We'd love to have you come out to the GAHTF Fall Shoot! It's a great place to meet your fellow ARFcommers. It'll be a bit of a drive for you, so if possible, plan to camp out at the range so you don't end up doing so much driving all on one day. Hope to meet you there! |

Thanks y'all. If I do make it to the fall GAHTF shoot, I'll be dragging my travel trailer with me, so plenty of time to hang around and "chat". Believe me, I understand the left lane is for passing... and I know those GSP boys don't mess around so I'll spend my time there judiciously. (Thank you Waze and Escort... )
