The wife bought me a new gunsafe. 1500 pounds. Anyone know a good safe moving company? Tried to contact the guy the store recommended, but he has not returned my calls. Cabelas had a card from www.nickoftimemoving.com. Don't know much about them. This would be a two safe move as my old safe needs to go to Douglasville, from Marietta.

I have never used this guy, but is a member over on ODT. Haven't heard a bad thing about him, not sure if he will service your area, but worth a shot. http://www.delivermysafe.com/ 770-755-8600 I've used them. I had a safe delivered to him and he brought it to my house. He did a good job for me. I'm also in Marietta. |

I just did the same thing a couple of months back, while I never used the nickoftime folks I found them to be difficult to work with given they are out of town. One of the managers at Cabelas recommended Noth GA Movers http://www.installmysafe.com/ talk to Kale, he is awesome! Good luck. |

If your safe is from Cabelas, it sounds like you got the same one I did. The Cabelas guy gave me the Nickoftime card because he had to, but strongly recommended I use another company. I got three quotes including Nickoftime, and they were the highest. I ended up using North GA Safe Movers as mentioned above. They were the middle quote of the three companies I called, but the person who answered the phone at the cheapest company could barely speak English and North GA had great reviews.
Kale (the owner) was very responsive, and he and his partner did a great job. They got that beast through a doorway with about 1/8" to spare with no damage to the hardwood on the way in, for a fair price. I highly recommend them. |
| Thanks. Waiting on a call back from them. It was purchased from Adventure Outdoors (Yeah, yeah, I know) and I could not get their guy to return a phone call, or email. Plan on having words with the manager once I get my safe. Have been doing business with the Wallace family for close to 30 years, got a G19 MOS on order right now. Cannot tell you how many guns I have gotten there. Pretty disappointed. |

So, could not get the guy that AO recommended to return a call or email. The delivermy safe guy stopped responding to emails. Kale, from North Georgia Safe Movers was great, stayed in touch and was easy to work with. Emailed a copy of the receipt, (he has done this with AO before, no issue) he got there to pick up the safe, and they refused to release it. Seemed they were not happy that their in house guy was not doing the delivery. I had to drive down there, lucky less than 15 minutes away. Showed the receipt to the manager, asked him if if they had an in house mover, he said yes. I told him that they might tell the guy to return a phone call or email. He just could not have cared less.
While they were loading up the safe, I walked over to the SPD counter and asked about the G19MOS I had ordered in Nov., the guy said that it had been in for a month, and I should have gotten a call. Went back over to the same manager, he just said my voice mail must have been full, that thay always call. I told him, yeah, no. I dont let it get full, and would not have waited a month to pick up a gun that was paid for. I guess one call, thats all. No second attempt. Anyway, + 100 for Kale and his guys. They did a great job, were prepared and worked fast. Would highly recommend them for any safe move. TL:DR, Why does AO make everything so hard to accomplish? |

You tried to tell me what I already knew? Like I stated, no one else local has BlueLine Glocks. Not going to pay up to $100 more. No one else carries the Rhino/Ironworks safes. Almost $1000 dollars more to order one online, plus the shipping, to my driveway. Then have to pay some one to set it in the basement.
My bitch is poor customer service. I know their reputation, just too bad they chase so many people away by being dicks to customers. |
