We were on the way home tonight on 120, going west just past Buford Hwy, when this SUV we were behind whips off the road behind four other cars.

At first, I thought either it was someone stopping for a wreck or an existing wreck getting bigger by +1. That was until we passed them and saw 6 of Gwinnett County's finest donning body armor in a hurry.

My wife looked me funny when I asked if she wanted to go back and watch.

Any chance anyone here has any details?

It didn't look like staging for a raid, because it was daylight, seemed like too few guys and they were in an awful hurry.

I thought maybe it was a hostage situation / active shooter / something else that might have gone out on a wider alert.

Chinese fire drill, SWAT style.  Good drill, keeps the team on its toes.

We had something happen in my neighborhood last night. I misread your location initially, so pulled my comment.
