| Saw on GD where Walmart has some rifle deals, went to check for myself. Walmart in Gainesville still has their ruger all American 308 and 3006 marked on clearance for $338. They scan them and show $199. I just walked out the door with a 308 for $212 and change. Walmart in Gainesville has a 3006 left, and a ruger 45-70 lever action, marked clearance for $5 something, will ring up $299. so check your stores!!! insist that they scan them for you |

Grabbed a Marlin 1895 this morning, can't beat $299. Marlin also has a 50 mail in rebate, so keep you original receipt.
Also, Oakwood walmart had Rugers, Savages and Marlins in stock. Didn't show the clearance price, but I didn't have them price check them since I got my Marlin at another store earlier in the morning. |

| Seems like the ones that are already marked clearance, are the ones that have dropped drastically. Like I said the ones in Gainesville were only marginally marked down on clearance until she scanned them and realized the new discounted price. She said they showed over 300 markdowns that are in the system for sporting goods, none of which were they aware of and had changed the labels on the shelf yet. She did not elaborate on what those 300 items were. |

| I snagged three of the clearance rifles, a Marlin 45-70, Ruger American in .243 Win, and a Savage .22 WMR. I've had the hots for a 45-70 lever gun for some time and plan on setting it up with my Hybrid which should be getting out of jail in the next month or so. The Ruger and Savage were basically free, buy the Marlin get these two for nothing! Really wanted on of the Mossberg 930's for $299 but couldn't find one. |

I guess I'll give an update for my area. Oak wood, Gainesville, Athens, and Winder, are out of clearance firearms. I found a Remington 597 in Eufaula, AL, last week on my way to PCB. It was $84. I got the last Nikon Buckmaster in Gainesville. It was a 3-9 and it was a display model. However, it wasn't on display. I asked the guy working the counter to check underneath to see if there were any left, and the box was there but no scope in it. Then in another spot the scope was found by itself. I can only guess some employee did that. So I got that one. No other Walmarts had any on clearance or were already sold out. I went by the walmart in snellville yesterday since I was in the area. They had a 3-9 in the display and the guy said it was the last one and there wasn't a box for it. I asked him to look for the box and when he opened the drawer, voila, a NIB 3-9 and 4-12. Needless to say I got both. They still had another 3-9 for the price of $64. They had other bushnell scopes on clearance and some spotting scopes and LRFs. No ammo on clearance, nor has any other Walmart had any in the area on clearance.

| I snagged a .243 RAR in Gaineville today. Before, an older employee told me they were sold out. I called again today and one of them told me a .243 was in stock. So I grabbed it for $199. If anyone is interested, they had about 4 Savage 64f's in stock, and I think they are going for like $54 or something. I didn't want one, so I didn't bother. The employee helping me today showed me the list of every gun that they have in the back. Those were the only ones that I remembered being on clearance. Just FYI. Also, no clearance scopes or ammo. |
