Does anybody know a good resource for common scope mount hole spacing? I bought a shotgun that was drilled and tapped in a relatively universal looking layout. I'd like to match up the hole spacing if possible to an off the shelf mount.

Any tips on a catalog or document that has hole spacing to compare to?

For something like that I'd try calling Warne Scope Mounts and talking to them about your needs... have the measurements on hand.

I've had good luck with their customer service and products.

What type of shotgun is it?  That may help narrow it down, as the shape/width/length/contour of the receiver could point in the right direction.

Its a 1201FP but the holes are clearly DIY but close enough for a RDS mount.

I would check a Benelli mount first.

I have a Rem870 mount I can measure and compare when I get back home.

Can you post your measurements, and maybe a pic?

Great scattergun, by the way.

the sets of holes are .5" on center. The 2nd and 3rd hole are 2.1380 on center.

Most mounts have at least on set that is .86 which i think is pretty standard. I may just have to buy or cut a rail section and make my own. I've heard that inertia driven shotguns don't play well with accessories so I was thinking a fastfire or something light.

Yep......make an inertia driven shotgun too heavy and they won't cycle reliably.

A burris Fastfire and a short rail section should be fine, correct?

Screw holes seem to be 8-40
